I have been searching for 15 years. I had abdominal pain like gall bladder. They took out my gall bladder and I still had the pain. After 8months and 25 pounds less, they did every GI test with no diagnosis. I stopped going to drs and totally changed my diet (no processed foods, no gluten) and still no help. My internist finally said to go see a pain dr. I had a block and knew immediately that it worked so they did a Radio Theraphy Ablasion and I had peace (no Pain) for over a year, except for “attacks” which felt like a rooter-Reuter going through my digestive system, pain, and no eating for about a week. My doctor in Dec. ordered an Abdominal Ultrasound and it about put me in the hospital because of the pain from this procedure. I have had 2 more RFA within 2 months and it’s alleviated the pain about 65%. I’m now looking into Median Acurate Ligament Syndrome. Still searching for answer.

can you tell me what kind of doctor does RFA?

I've also almost given up on western medicine. Will be trying acupuncture to see if that helps. Have had this pain since I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago. Its an aching deep pain like something is pushing really hard in that area. Have had an abdominal ultrasound, CT, MRIs, colonoscopy, EGD and many lab tests. All normal. It was thought to be scar tissue at one point but no one will do an exploratory surgery for ab pain. I also went through testing for Sphincter of Oddi but that too was inconclusive. It is very depressing as I too used to be active but now I don't go anywhere much for fear of the pain flaring up. I pray for answers not only for myself but for you too.
