Hey there Toni, good to hear from you. How are you doing? I so hope you're on top of your pain? Of course the natural way is best! I used to do that back in the day. Now I'm in way too much pain and am so weak, that I can't do much in the kitchen. I eat yogurt, blueberries and 1/4 slice of avocado and 1/2 protein shake for b'fast. Then have an entire bag of either green beans or artichoke hearts for lunch about 4-5pm. Then 4 oz. When I'm salmon or Chicken breast w/ maybe 4oz. of squash for dinner. 2 or 3 apples is desert every night. That's my treat. When I'm not trying to lose a few pounds, I will have more. I didn't realize it but in the 3 years I lost so much weight intentionally, I didn't have bread so I know I need to incorporate grains in my diet. We usually try to buy fresh, whole and organic when possible. Thanks so much for you advice. I'm forever learning! Warmest wishes, Sunnyflower

Hi @sunnyflower glad to hear you are eating well. Is this a new diet for you? One word of advice is to look at the protein powder to see all the nutrients it provides. If you can, besides grains, you may want to add nuts. They both add minerals to your diet. Also be aware some require other nutrients for better absorption. For example iron needs vitamin C. I believe the presence of coffee will negate the absorption of milk. Not all yogurts are the same. The flavored ones contain too much sugar. If I bought any flavored yogurts I would also buy plain yogurt and mix the two to make it less sweet. I make my own and don’t buy yogurt anymore. Now less sweet brands have become available at the grocery stores. I stay away from the fake sweeteners like sucralose. Seems so much of our food has this ingredient. No matter our ailments, on our own we have to keep learning through trial and error in order to make our health better, so keep trying. Remember God will help those who help themselves. Take care.
