@elained, @margottaylor and @jimbotch -- I went to a Minnesota Neuropathy Association meeting a couple of years ago and Dr Lars Oddsson shared the story about Walkasins, the first wearable sensory prosthesis to help balance and mobility in individuals with peripheral neuropathy. Sole inserts measure foot pressure and gentle tactile vibrations provide balance cues around the lower leg. He shared the story of how it was developed and how it helped a man with diabetic neuropathy gain his life back. Really interesting technology.
