B-6 vitamin danger!

Hi John, I got the peripheral neuropathy pain and confusion one month BEFORE I took the vitamin B-complex and the vitamin B12. My folate and homocysteine is normal. I just found out my calcium level is high now and I don't take calcium. I guess we might be looking into bone marrow cancer. I stopped the vitamin d-3 and ester-c (only took C for 5 days). I stopped the probiotic and the fish oil. Not taking any supplements at all now. I never took a multi-vitamin either. The doctor thinks it could have been an allergic reaction to the flu shot. My body is going haywire. Doctor said I could try prednisone but I'd rather wait to see what the spinal tap shows. I'm slowly getting better but today it's more the lower extremities and mostly my left leg is burning and rushing with the neuropathy and my feet. It's really bizarre how it changes each day, days or weeks what it does. I ordered 3 air purifiers last night. Trying anything. I'm even sleeping on the couch. Nice to talk to someone who listens and cares and doesn't think I'm crazy. Thank you.

Hi cokie63. Just a note to say hang in there. You’ll find @johnbishop an amazing resource for guiding through the resources here. Neuropathy can be so confusing and exhausting with its constant changes. You’re not crazy. You may want to consider logging your symptoms and changes as you introduce new things into your body or environment. Different things work for everyone. I hope you find some relief. You’re not crazy. I wish you well

@cokie63 There are other reasons for high blood calcium such as hyperparathyroidism. My elderly mom had this and her blood calcium level was high and they removed a parathyroid gland (there are 4) and then tested blood levels again while she was still on the operating table to make sure they got the right one which was confirmed. Here are a few links, one from Mayo, and another form a private practice that explains a lot of causes of high blood calcium. When my mom's levels were high, she had a lot of memory problems which resolved after her surgery. This problem removes calcium from the bones and it goes into the blood. She couldn't take calcium or drink milk at all while this was happening. As soon as she had recovered from this surgery, she fell and broke her pelvis, her ankle and her foot. My thoughts are the bones were thin from this problem causing the break in her foot when she twisted her ankle resulting in the fall and pelvis fracture. She spent 3 months in a rehab center before coming back home. The parathyroids are in the front of the neck near the thyroid gland and an easy path to removal and recovery.
