At Mayo Connect we are all patients, like yourself, and not medical professionals. However, perhaps some of our Members will see your post and offer suggestions based on their own personal experiences.

One last thought - when you eat small, more frequent meals is the discomfort lessened?

Teresa

Yes but even more important is avoiding sulphites - not always easy.

Also helpful eating food at room temp vs fresh from oven

for sure! Thanks for reminding me

Yes. And if you have any other thoughts i would appreciate

I have had this exact same pain as you're describing. It only happens occasionally after I have eating something with a lot of fats. Today I had a homemade salad with rotisserie chicken, chopped eggs, cheese, seeds, and a good bit of olive oil. It has been 30 min since lunch and I'm having that stabbing pain from my collarbone up to my left ear. I figure it must be referred pain from the gallbladder. I just took 10 AF Betafood from Standard Process (made of beets plus vitamin A and essential fatty acids). I chewed them for a faster response (gross). It has only been a few minutes but I'm feeling much better now. Beets are the #1 food for liver and gallbladder function. Hope this helps!
