Hello I just had my gallbladder surgery on Tuesday and I am having a hard time with nausea. How long will that last and is it common?

Welcome to Connect, @snoel. When my husband had gallbladder removed a couple of years ago, he had a difficult time with even clear liquids in early recovery days. I think that he was able to try small amounts of bland foods after 4-5 days. He mostly sipped tea and broth while he introduced toast, crackers and soup. In a couple weeks he was eating things like mashed potatoes and puddings with some soft chicken. He had no problem with gradually progressing to a more normal diet with no spicy or fried foods. Now after several years, he pretty much eats whatever he wants.
It's nearly 1 week since your surgery. How are you feeling today? Do any foods sound appealing to you? Do you have a scheduled follow-up with your surgeon or PCP?
