Dealing with symptoms after Gallbladder surgery

The galbladder is easy one to have removed. Its the size of a green pea. It connects to pankrus and kinda drains off too small intestines.

Would not be sweating it .. Really.. But good luck

I'm new here and wanted to ask if anyone has the names of a few top Gallbladder Surgeons at Mayo Clinic in Rochester? I read that Mayo Clinic is the top hospital in the nation for this type of surgery, but closer to home would be MIchigan so if anyone has the names of a skilled surgeon near the Grand Rapids MIchigan/Kalamazoo Michigan area. Or University of MIchigan in Ann Arbor, i would consider that too. I need to have my gallbladder removed due to gallstones, but have great reservations and anxiety about having the surgery. I know people who have not had a problem after surgery, and those who have had a terrible time, even having a worse condition after the surgery. Thanks

Hello I just had my gallbladder removed this past Monday February 11th and before surgery I had nausea and was hoping it would go away after it was out but now I keep having it and it makes me feel horrible. I see that it can be normal but I wasn’t for sure. Did anyone else have the same problem or did it go away?

I had gallbladder surgery years ago and I had to learn a new way to eat. No fats, spicy food whole milk no good. I took a little time to get use to eating different foods but it got better so give yourself time.

I had my gallbladder removed 6 months ago and have had issues since. Did you ever experience any constant pain months after the surgery?

Would you believe I also had my gallbladder removal on Monday, Feb 11. I had nausea and severe pain from gall stones for years before surgery. After the surgery, I did experience a little nausea. My doctor prescribed nausea medication. Last night, Feb 16, I had severe pain for 5 hours. I believe it came from thinking I was recovered and ate too much.

How do you feel today? Do you still think it was because of eating too much? Do you take care with what you eat? We’re you given any restrictions?

I think it was because I ate too much at one time. Today I feel wonderful and have no pain. I ate small portions many times today. Most of what I ate was rather bland; but, for dinner my wife made me a soup of chicken broth and chopped up chicken. It tasted wonderful. Tomorrow she’s going to make a big container of the soup and put it in the refrigerator so I can dish out the portion size I want. When she makes the soup tomorrow, she’s going to add carrots and water to cut down on the salt content. It helps to get through this recovery if I have some good food to look forward to eating. I hope everything is starting to get better with your recovery.
