That does indeed sound awful, @derryman. I wanted to let you know I moved your post over to your prior discussion about Seroquel, as there are others here who may have some input for you on this. A couple other Mayo Clinic Connect members who may have some thoughts for you are @majic, @anniegk, @hwilson7 and @cathy615. They have also talked about this medication and may have some thoughts on the symptoms you are experiencing.

@derryman, what is your doctor saying about the fear and anxiety you are having?

Thank you for replying to my post. The doctor put my EFFOXER up to 300mg & SERAQUEL up to 100mg. Answer he said. DONT WORRY YOU WILL BE OK. Living with Fear & Aniexty everyday. NOT LIVING. JUST STRUGGLING THROUGH TODAY. THEN SAME TOMORROW & THE NEXT DAY. So So fed up. UNEMPLOYED. TO MUCH TIME TO THINK. GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

I remember being where you are. It was a very difficult time of my life, working with a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a pcp and for a time, a support group for depression and anxiety. I thought I would never be able to climb up out of the dark hole of despair, hopelessness, suicidal ideation, and various other things. I really didn't expect to survive the blackest period of my life, but I did, with a lot of help. Sometimes I feel like I'm on the stairs leading down to the hole.

I surely hope never to return to that place, and I know that I'm doing as well as I am thanks to a number of meds, people and prayers, the same things that you're counting on in your recovery.

My prayers are lifting you up to the throne of God.

So sorry you are going through this. Iam going through the same thing. How can you feel so normal at night and wake up so Anxious and messed up.

So sorry to hear your are going through such a hard time, @anniegk, with feeling normal at night and waking anxious and "messed up."

Does anything help you get through the anxiety in the morning?

@derryman -- how is it going for you? Are you still experiencing fear and anxiety when you wake up?

I am still having mornings where I feel the Anxiety. I do have some mornings where it isnt as bad. I try to get busy and take my mind off of it. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesnt. Iam on so many drugs that there are days I feel so drowsy. That makes me anxious when i feel drowsy.

I have had a periodic irregular heartbeat that i have had on and off for the last 45 years or so. Iam now 72 and a year ago it started getting worse. This year is even worse. This causes extreme anxiety for me. They finally added a Beta Blocker to my mix of meds. It does seem to help the irregular heartbeat. I take that along with my Buspar in the AM for the anxiety. The Beta Blocker and the buspar make me very drug out. It takes me until late afternoon before i feel less drugged. I hate the drug out feeling but i hate the anxiety even worse. This depression and Anxiety has been going on for over a year. I have a pyschologist and a GP I go to. I sure wish i could get off some of these meds. Iam on 250 mgs Seroquel, 45. Mgs Mirtazapine, Propanolol, and buspar, lisinopril. I feel like a walking drug store.

My anxiety is worse when i wake up. Heavy chest and irregular heartbeat. I take my propranolol and lisinopril first thing i get up. Than later in the AM i take buspirone for anxiety. Some days like today, i will take a half milligram of Ativan. I try very hard not to take that. I have come down 100mgs on my seroquel. First 50mg cut in March and than another 50 mg cut in May. I have been on Seroquel since May 12 2017

that really sux I've had panic attacks ever since I can remember and my parents told me I had them way way before I can remember and it feels like I'm gonna die every time you too? Right now I'm on 400mg of Seroquel a day, 200mg of Wellbutrin a day, 40mg of Adderall a day and 2mg of Klonopin 3 times a day and that is working like a mutha for me
