Gastroenterologist/ hepatologist
I want to know what's the difference between a gastroenterologist and hepatologist because just recently l went to a new gasterentogist he was one of the partners of my previous one and l thought l was seeing him for my elevated ammonia and so l told him l didn't know my levels if they were high or low or if they can fluctuate at different times. He told me your levels are normal. I can tell by looking and hearing you. Your not confused and your not jaundice but l told him l am bloated and gaining weight. Which l know could be ascites. I showed him that the Mayo Clinic vascular medicine doctor said my TIP surgery was done incorrectly and l had an appointment with the gastroenterologist there but l also found out looking at my appointment again that the gastroenterologist l am to see is also a hepatologist. No w l don't know the difference? Since when l went to my previous gasterentogist did everything in the begin. Is the hepatologist to continue to follow up with you in case it runs in to more complications with TIP procedure since it was done incorrectly. Does anyone know? I looked it up but it really doesn't explain that. But next week is when l had out to the Mayo clinic. I guess l will find out but l would like to know before l see the doctors. I am nor afraid, just want to know if anyone knows the difference?

While I certainly do admire her desire to keep costs down, I can see that her desire to find the right dress at the price she wants to pay as adding to her stress right now. Is she aware that this is a stress for her?

1 Reaction@hopeful33250 Teresa, I agree 100%. Sometimes you just have to move forward and DO IT, even when it is not quite what you want for some reason. She tries to be frugal though, unlike my son. Oddly though she doesn’t seem stressed by this, I think it stresses me more than it does her! She was heading out to Bloomingdales this afternoon to see if she could find anything there. I sure hope she did, I will text her in a little while. I know if she finds nothing within a couple of days that will be when she does get stressed. Before our vacation I pretty much got all of that done because I did not want to put it off until after vacation and knee replacement. I am so glad I did. The problem is these days that the stores do not carry much so you have to order online, then figure out if it works for you. What a nuisance that is.

Yes, I agree. It becomes more difficult to shop the later it gets. Perhaps she will have been successful at Bloomingdales today.

2 Reactions@hopeful33250 it occurred to me when I looked back at my post that it may have sounded like a knock at my son, but he isn’t only self-indulgent, he is indulgent of his family (us) and his girlfriend also. I think he is doing well and just enjoys it, we just hope he is saving also.
