No, I haven't had my hardware removed. I just started thinking about it again recently and during my research found this page where I had posted my question back in 2017. Sorry, I can't give you any advice. I am still dealing with the same situation almost four years after surgery.

You may be allergic to the metals. I think you should get all that isn't necessary removed. It's a problem waiting to happen.; You can get a blood test to tell you what metals you are allergic to.
