clicking jaw when i yawn or open my mouth but no pain or any problem
I am on bed due to major leg fracture and for 3 months and since last month my jaw clicks when i open my mouth but there is no pain or discomfort in my mouth and i also have chronic sinusitis.
Please tell me is this due to 3 months bed rest.
Or due to sinusitis or deficiency.
And also there is one more thing i eat from my left side of mouth due to broken teeth on my right side.
When i googled for it it shows that i have tmj and there is no cure for tmj please help me..

I have Tmj. It does subside eventually. If you are laying in bed try not to stay on one side. The body needs to be moved around a lot. Good luck
Hello dear i want to ask how long do you have tmj and is tmj temporary or is tmj lifetime disease
I am turning 47...it might be permanent
But i never had braces, never had trauma in head or jaw and i never chew chewing gums, and i dont clench teeths in night. But i chew from one side of mouth due to a bad teeth on other side that's it
If you open your mouth and there is a clickinging or poppin where your jaw hinges open. More than likely it is TMJ. There is treatment for it. You can do some mouth stretches, there is medicine, and mouth guards. It just depends on the severity. I used to notice it when I'd try to take a bite of a big cheeseburger. 🙂 My jaw would pop and sometimes be uncomfortable. If it gets bad definitely call your Dr. For help. For me, it was just something that started to happen one day. I did some stretches which really helped. For me it just subsided. It didn't totally go away, but it isn't really bothering me anymore.
Sorry to bother you do you still have pain or no
I have had TMJ since I was in my late 20's. It's a lifetime issue that can be caused from stress, etc. You may not realize that you are clenching or grinding your teeth at night, so you may actually be doing so. Also, chewing on one side of your mouth due to bad teeth can make it act up. I recomend that you get your bad teeth repaired with whatever your dentist says will fix the problem(s). That will help your TMJ. A mouth guard for TMJ was just quoted to me by my dentist in California and it will cost $495! I can't afford that, so I'm actually thinking of getting a sports mouth guard to keep me from clenching and grinding at night. All my teeth are cracked from the stress of clenching, at least that's what my dentist told me. Of course, I'm about to turn 69 years old, so I would expect some wear and tear on my teeth.
With TMJ, the disks in your jaw wear out from use or overuse. Right now I don't think they can replace the disks. I don't know about medication for it. I actually had my mouth get locked in a wide open position when I was trying to bite into a large apple at the age of 30. It scared the heck out of me! I had to hit my jaw several times before I could get it to unlock so I could close it. I sometimes get a piercing earache or headache from my TMJ. My doctor told me to go home from work and have a couple of glasses of wine to relax. I did, and it worked. Many people have TMJ, which is usually handled by a dentist, not a physician.
Good Luck, Gail B.
