When @epvb started this discussion in 2017, they were hoping to connect with others diagnosed with collagenous gastritis, a rare condition. I’m glad you’ve added your experience to the conversation.
I’m curious how long ago you were diagnosed and whether you’ve noticed any improvement with budesonide. Was opening the capsules and taking the granules with yogurt something your prescribing doctor specifically recommended?
I’m also wondering whether you’ve been working with a gastroenterologist familiar with collagenous gastritis. As you’ve read, @brittanyul has been having difficulty finding a specialist experienced in treating her daughter.

I’m so sorry for your diagnosis. I hope the meds help you 🩷
She was on budesonide for 3 months and absolutely no improvement! Dr tried prednisone and that didn’t help either… just gave her terrible headaches and nausea. They are referring us to another specialist but he hasn’t treated CG before. I can’t find a doctor willing to treat her. 😔
