@donnachaidh I am a bit late in the conversation here but I scheduled cryablation for a 2.5 cm tumor on right kidney for Jan 6. The scheduler did not have all the information I was hoping for but maybe you can inform me. Were you able to go home the day of ablation? I am coming to Rochester from Ohio and we are setting up accomodations. Did you follow up with personal physician after the procedure? What were your restrictions after? I hope to be able to drive the 12 hours home the next day ( husband driving). I am pretty active with walking and golf and wondering if I should be planing to be slow to resume activity?

Patty, being active will serve you well for recovery. Your team at Mayo Clinic will let you know when and how you can introduce physical activity after cryoablation. When you ask "Did you follow up with personal physician after the procedure?" are you referring to the transfer of follow-up care to your local doctor?
