I'm having difficulty finding recipes for kidney disease. The several I've looked at on DaVita seem to have a lot of protein. I've had only 1 visit with my nutrionist and she recommended 1/4 of my diet should be protein. Suggestions for recipes or eating out anyone?

@lb0530 There are literally hundreds of kidney kind cook books. I recently purchased a Lee Hull cookbook titled Stopping Kidney Disease Food Guide. It is popular enough that there were no copies at Half Price Books, so I purchased one off of Amazon. Much of the book is informational and not just recipes. I believe that following one person makes more sense than trying to integrate the teachings of several experts. His recipes seem reasonably easy to follow and adjustable as needed. I have only been using it for about 2 weeks, so not a lot of experience with it.

@lb0530 I recently met with my new nutritionist, and she gave me some suggestions, and some recipes, but one of her clients is a university kidney program, and I believe her material is copyrighted. But, I'm including a link from the National Kidney Foundation Nutrition Hub. I haven't tried them, but they look good to me. Also, I'm a lousy cook, so I can't look at menus and "know" whether something is good or not. But, this could be a beginning. Best of luck with it! https://www.kidney.org/nutrition/recipes
