@ladyrose74 Absolutely you will find a food that is "approved" for one diet plan, that is not good for another plan. We all have that concern. This is where a good dietician who is versed in both diabetes and renal issues, is invaluable!

@gingerw You are so right about the conflicting advice one can get. I have prediabetes, heart disease (as a stroke survivor), chronic kidney disease, and cystic fibrosis. The dietary recommendations for each of these conditions are different, in some cases VERY different. If I tried to eliminate all of the foods that one or more diets said I should eliminate, I think I would have to subsist on air and water.
