I love your sense of humor. I have that dark humor as well 🤫. I have CIDP (Chronic Inflammation Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) and now through DNA testing and spinal tap they say I have Huntingtons disease. Anyways I know a lot of people here can’t or chose not to but thc/cbd is a great addition to my 450 of Lyrica and 2 or 3 hundred mg Amytriptaline. But they don’t have to smoke anything of get out of their minds wasted. I take gummies and it just takes that edge off. Although like a lot of us I couldn’t use while working. I also have a SCS (spinal cord stimulator) which again unlike a lot of people I don’t use the silent setting. I like to feel the buzz and it replaces the sharp stabbing pain. I have chronic stabbing pain, walk like I’m drunk and talk like we’re playing
charades. Gummies also don’t mean you have to eat the whole thing. I bite each one in half just to help take that sharp edge off.
Hopefully they can help you as well as it allows me to move without all the verbal oh’s and aw’s. Here to a good day ❤️

@mister1 Hahaha.. thanks. I wish I had some gummies right now, they do take the edge off a bit, but we live in a state where it is NOT legal. Our previous state it was fully legal and I took gummies when it was bad, and it did help.

@mister1 oh yes... dark humour.. 🙂

Wow, how are you coping with CIDP? Sorry to hear you have an additional chronic health condition to navigate, Huntingtons disease. How is your balance? Do you have falls? Ahh man, I feel for you. I hope you are getting the support and resources you need.

I’ve used gummies because my pain reaches levels off the scales. But if you saw me out in public, you’d never guess I have a master’s degree in masking, refined over thirteen solid years.

Still, I refuse to pause my life. When the pain becomes overwhelming, I embrace true radical rest and draw on holistic, soothing practices to nourish and calm my body. When my pain hits a full 10, my neural pathways trigger a complete system shut down just to protect me. Honestly? That’s about the only time I get truly deep, uninterrupted sleep....and it's pure bliss to get 8+ hours sleep!

Looking back, I still don’t know how I survived teaching for two years right after my car crash, completely unaware of the full impact on my body. On top of that, I was managing five tutor groups in a single year, including two with SEND and NEET students. The sheer stress sent my pain levels through the roof, all while relying on Amitriptyline and Co-codamol just to function.

It wasn’t until two years ago that I tried gummies after spotting a company at Spitalfields Market. I've heard THC oil, is a total game-changer. Medical cannibis is legal in the UK now, but it's expensive.

To navigate my symptoms, I practice meditation, breathwork, Yin Yoga, and Qigong, and I’ve been doing hydrotherapy with a physio over the past few weeks. My NHS sessions wrap up this coming Tuesday, but I’ll definitely be continuing them privately. Mind you, I’ll be living strictly on cheese and crackers to pay for it, or maybe I’ll sample some of the cat’s food! Ha ha! 😂

Wishing you all a comfortable, calm, and gentle week ahead! 🌿
