K2 is a vitamin. There are studies implying K2 may reduce the liklihood of fractures, taken in 15 milligram doses 3 times daily. The K2 I see in stores is far lower doses — 100 micrograms — meaning I’d need 4.5 bottles every day to get 45 milligrams . So I’m ordering online. I’ve talked to my rheumotologist who said its no problem to take it but there’s not enough evidence for Cleveland Clinic to recommend K2. Some of the online sites say K2 is supposed to direct calcium to the bones instead of the arteries! I doubt that’s provable though I like the idea.
I’m not taking collagen.
