My pulmonologist ordered a CT scan and the cancer is back! Nodules are growing and a new mass is detected in the other lung.
My oncologist offered a chemo treatment that could extend my life a little but I am choosing to forgo the treatment and it’s side effects so that I can enjoy my last weeks/months with family and friends.

@andycapp I'm sure that wasn't an easy decision to make, but I think I would have chosen the time off of treatment, too. I'm sorry the cancer came back so quickly. do you have a palliative care team? they can do a lot to keep you feeling as good as possible. hugs and prayers ❤️

@andycapp choosing when to stop is a victory over the cancer. You decided not the cancer and I hope when it's time for me to make that decision I am able to do it with the grace and live that you have. I pray that your landing is gentle.

@andycapp, I know many of us will come to this fork in the road. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision. Are your family/friends supportive of your decision?
I'm wishing you peace and comfort in your decision.
