@deneenm Hi, I came across your post and I feel like I'm reading my own story. I have the exact same situation — pain that started after dental work, multiple root canals and extractions that didn't help, pain reaching 9/10, and a nerve block that only lasted a few hours. I was also diagnosed with atypical odontalgia and trigeminal neuralgia.

I know this post is from 2021. I'm reaching out because I'm desperate to know what happened after that. What treatments have you tried since then? Have any of them helped? Are you doing better now, or is it still the same?

I'm asking because I'm running out of options and I don't know what to try next. Any update you can share would mean a lot to me. Thank you.

@buling Have you tried Carbetrol? That one works for me, with a regime of 200 mg in the morning, 400 at night. The Lyrica was effective in reducing pain at three times a day, but the side effects became too much to bare. Though naming a trigger can be difficult, temperature of foods seem to be a big one, so I still avoid. Is your doctor helpful?
