@helennicola my neurologist told me the same, her treatment plan would be the same whether I had the biopsy or not. So I chose not to. Now, after trying 2 different medications and didn't like the side effects of her third recommendation, I have asked for the biopsy. Before I put more research into options I need to feel I should at least rule it in or out. Has anyone had the biopsy and found it to be not SFN?

@maggiem7 If the usual causes for your neuropathy have been ruled out and your Dr. is sure you have neuropathy it doesn’t matter if it is SFN or not since your treatment options are the same.
