Message I got about a new pill to use with ADT, don't really understand, but thought I share. Maybe it's not new??
Abiraterone Mylan
Abiraterone Mylan is a generic formulation of abiraterone that works by irreversibly inhibiting CYP17, an enzyme required for androgen synthesis in the testes, adrenal glands, and tumor tissue. The CHMP recommendation broadens its prostate cancer use by removing the “high-risk” restriction from the existing indication for newly diagnosed metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) in combination with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). It also adds two new indications.
Abiraterone Mylan is now indicated with prednisone or prednisolone for:
Newly diagnosed mHSPC in adult patients in combination with ADT
Newly diagnosed mHSPC in adult patients in combination with ADT and docetaxel
Newly diagnosed high-risk nonmetastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer in adult patients in combination with ADT and radiotherapy.

Abiraterone Mylan It’s just a generic version of abiraterone And acts no different from the original drug.
It is recommended that people start with abiraterone Before moving on to a lutamide. It is a lot harder around the body, and if you have heart issues can really aggravate them.
I was on it for 2 1/2 years and it gave me high blood pressure and five afib events. I know people that have been on it for five years and had no problems at all.

@diverjer Not new. Read about Jeff's experience on abiraterone. Hard on the heart. Cheapest (because generic) and has the most side effects of the 4 drugs that could be prescribed. The others cost > $10K per month.
