Meitsjustme-I don’t have anything helpful to offer…just that a small part of me wanted to smile a little, but the bigger part of me wants to just cry with you and send a virtual hug. Please take good care of yourself. That message is meant to all who read this. My husband’s sister passed from Alzheimer’s and 3 days later, her husband/caregiver also passed away. Such a tough balancing act. Know that we all care! ♥️

@2me I'm sorry for your family's losses. That puts it all in perspective, doesn't it? I started writing these little essays a few months ago. In March, my husband was diagnosed with Parkinsons's Disease. He'd had MCI for a while before that, but things got worse. Then, in May, I lost my baby brother. We were close. He was a few days shy of his 65th birthday. I started writing especially about my trips with my brother, but then expanded to grief, aging, and caregiving. It really helps me process things. The Two-Minute Phone Call essay was a way to find humor in a horrible situation. Humor is very valuable.
