In 2023 I started getting fevers and checked myself in to the hospital in Corvallis OR (a low of 128 lbs). Two groups of doctors were arguing for and against a G-tube installation. When they removed my food, the fevers stopped. Thus, food aspiration was the cause, and a G-tube was installed. Later it changed to a PEG which I prefer. Until I can get my swallowing restored, I will be on a PEG. Now I am 142 lbs and I work out 3 days a week. I really miss eating especially during the holidays. When we travel and my wife and I go out to a restaurant she eats and I feed. It is not what I prefer but it is life.
