Good Morning..I too have uterine serous carcinoma and had a laproscopic hysterectomy 5 years ago. I was nervous about the recovery was told to walk as soon as I could to eliminate gas that can be very uncomfortable. I was given the choice to go home after the surgery but choose to stay overnight. As soon as I was allowed to walk I did, a few hours after the surgery. I walked around the hospital corridors accompanied by a nurse at first, then on my own. It was a good decision, NO GAS at all, very little discomfort. I think I took tylenol the first night in the hospital and didn't need anything after that. No constipation no nothing. I was walking my dog 4 days later. For me it was a very easy surgery and recovery. Wishing you a quick, pain free recovery !!
