There’s always a small chance the laproscopic surgery may turn into an open surgery so be prepared.
My surgery was robotic/laproscopic but ended up being ‘open’. As for the belly binder, I was given one in the hospital. It really helps if you end up with an open surgery. A 4-legged cane was a lifesaver for support in getting up out of a chair or bed.
