I had a laproscopic hysterectomy prior to commencing my chemotherapy for endometrial cancer. I was in hospital for 2 nights, everything went smoothly, but I too experienced painful shoulders and ribs from the gas they use to bloat the tummy for better viewing. Hot showers eased the pain in no time. Pain meds and chocolate helped 😘
