@colleenyoung I actually have not had the benefit of having a pet for 11 years, long before my health problems started. I would love to have a dog again but my husband says if I add a pet I will be minus a husband!

@contentandwell I don't know your husband so I can't say if the dog would be a good trade! When I married my favourite husband, I had 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 2 cats! He wasn't fond of cats so when they departed, I didn't replace them. We always had a dog.
