I had total right hip replacement 6 months ago.
At 3 weeks I was doing great. Driving, walking with a cane as a prevention- didn't really need it. It’s been downhill ever since. I had alot of PT. I started having nerve pain on the outside of my thigh...burning sensations and total numbness. Gabapentin helps, but I must be consistent with it. I also had deep muscle pain in my groin. PT worked on it. I took a muscle relaxant for a short time. It helped.
Several days ago I started having shooting pain in the other thigh/ groin. I don't get it. I also have low back pain. I often feel unbalanced.
I have an appt with a chiropractor coming up. I hope it helps.
Has anyone experienced anything like this ----pain the good leg? Thanks.

@hippydippy1 OH yes, and in my back. I learned that the surgery changes your gait, which leads to imbalances. I was sent to a rehab PT 14-15 years ago who evaluated my gait and prescribed specific exercises to get back in balance.
The first direction was "Get new, supportive shoes. The old ones are forcing you to compensate for the presurgical wear, which may or may not be visible on the outer sole."
What followed was about 3 months of gait and strength training, on land and in water, to get back in balance.

PS I tried chiropractic and the adjustments lasted a few days. This PT was the final, permanent fix. Now othermaladies of age and arthritis are bothering, and back to a rehab PT every time for long-term adjustments in my exercise routines and how I move.
