Hello, I was diagnosed with GPA about five years ago. I received pulse therapy with methylprednisolone and cyclophosphamide, and I continued taking steroids and additional medications regularly. Recently, since May, I started receiving rituximab and Octagam, and I began reducing my medications. I also experienced the symptoms you mentioned, but I am doing much better now.
What treatments are you receiving?

@aziza06, welcome to Connect. It’s good to hear that you are doing much better now after living with GPA for about five years and going through several different treatments.

You mentioned that you recently started rituximab and Octagam and have been able to begin reducing some of your other medications. Since this discussion started with a question about monitoring GPA and preventing flares, I wonder if your experience could help others here too.

As you’ve gotten better, how are you and your doctors monitoring your GPA now? Are there particular symptoms, tests, or changes that you’ve learned to watch for?
