in a way, that’s good that your lease will prompt a decision. I feel sad about leaving my gardens—the thought of condo living with a balcony with potted plants seems ‘less than’, although I do complain about the upkeep of the garden at certain points—go figure…In order to move, I’ll need/want to sell my house, which is a process with an unknown final date—easy to keep floating along.
And then my dear daughters—each has a “plan” for me—each very different—one invites me to live on their very rural, weather challenging, and yes incredibly beautiful property in Alaska, husband building a granny house for me, and the other daughter campaigns for me to move to Portland where my 5 siblings live—the selling point is that I’d be closer to family, but they are all 62-74 years old, and ‘only’ 8 hours flight time from Amsterdam, where she lives. Arrrgh. I know I need to come to a plan, sooner than later.
