@njed Hi, Ed–Thanks for reminding me that I'd promised to keep folks updated on my new life with a sanddune stepper. I wish I had a whole lot to say. I tried the stepper once in my sock feet, and once in my favorite walking shoes with their prescription orthotics. Both attempts were spoiled by this %#&*# arthritic knee of mine. It wasn't the stepper's fault. It was my %#&*# arthritic knee's fault. I'm keepig the stepper, especially as I'm still undecided* (*somewhat undecided) about a TKR. I figure if I got a TKR, maybe I'd have the knee of a 20-year-old once again (wishful thinking!). So, that's my update on the sanddune stepper, such as it is. Cheers! –Ray (@ray666)

@ray666 I know what you mean. I read something today indicating that our knees actually absorb weight 1.5 times our actual weight and going down steps, the level is higher. No wonder I lost an inch in height in last 10 years! I am side stepping the Stepper for now, doubt it would work for me at this time and so does the physical therapist I saw last year, he advised (for me) against it.
