I'm so sorry that you have cancer. I know that is shocking to find out. My husband had lung cancer. However, he lived with lung cancer for 14 years with good doctors and treatment. Talk to your doctor about all the treatments available to you and also read the side effects of those treatments that they may want you to have. Everyone is different and react differently to things. At least that way you would be aware of what the side effects would be before you experience them. I know that really helped my husband.
Prayer also helped both of us. We just gave all our problems up to God and he was there for us through the whole ordeal. God's still there for me. My husband went to Heaven in 2024. Just ask God for his help. After all, he made you and he can fix you! I'll say a prayer for you also.

That’s what I do when I feel panicked from “the unknown” !
No one knows the future and you will learn more tomorrow from your doctor that gave you this diagnoses. There will probably be more tests ordered to give explicit details that will help the docs.
It is best to get 2nd/3rd opinion of diagnosis from a Cancer Specialist with expertise in your particular case, and I hope you choose to use the Specialist Oncologist for detailed answers, options of treatments available, and ask for relief for any symptoms you are experiencing.

Hi @amanda11211975, Hearing that you have cancer is life changing. The fears that you have are valid but also know that treatments have improved exponentially in recent years. And so have treatments to combat side effects.
I have stage IV lung cancer, diagnosed 2020. I remember the fear that came with those early days after diagnosis. It took time for the doctors to find the exact type of cancer and to get a treatment plan in place. But once I had that information, it was easier to move forward. Your time will come too. It's not easy, but it won't always be this difficult emotionally.
What type of cancer? Do you have a treatment plan yet?
