Hi Mommacandy, I was on Avastin maintenance in between courses of chemo, until I switched to Elahere. (Elahere is for those whose original tumor tests highly positive for folate receptor alpha. I finally got tested recently.) Both Avastin and Elahere cause fatigue. My kidney function has improved since I stopped Avastin. It had been slightly low. Now it’s normal. The Elahere can damage the corneas, which is treated with steroid eye drops and reductions or postponement of the Elahere.
Have you been tested for folate receptor alpha? Do you know what R-DXD is? Is the study double-blinded?

@lathomasmd this is what was in the info they gave me. on R-DXD which from what i understand is a new type of drug...
"R-DXD (Raludotatug deruxtecan) is a type of drug called an antibody drug conjugate (ADC). ADCs are made to attach to tumor cells to deliver chemotherapy directly to tumor cells and not healthy cells. Antibodies are proteins produced by the immune system that bind to a target on the surface of a cell. In this trial, the target for R-DXD is called Cadherin 6 (CDH6). R-DXD specifically binds to tumor cells that are expressing CDH6 and kill the tumor cells by releasing drug into the cells. CDH6 is expressed at various levels in tumor cells, helping tumors survive and grow. Research studies with R‑DXD in laboratory animals with tumors that express CDH6 have shown that R‑DXd binds to CDH6 and stops tumor growth. Clinical research suggests that R‑DXd may stop tumor growth for cancers that have low, moderate, or high levels of CDH6. Therefore, this trial will investigate whether R‑DXD has any effect on the growth of your tumor, regardless of the growth of your tumor, regardless of the level of CDH6, and how long this effect lasts"
The study has this drug being paired with several assorted chemo drugs in various groups. So are getting it with carbo, some with Paclitaxel, some with Gemcitabine, some with something else i can't remember...and some with the avastin which is the group i'm being put in which i think is because i've already had the carbo and paclitaxel .. This is phase 2 of the study and there is supposed to be around 460 i think they said in this phase. I know they will be monitoring my eyes among all kinds of other stuff...i do not know about the folate receptor alpha.. not sure what that is...
i know before i'm completely approved for it I have to go through a whole slew of testing, which will prob happen sometime in the next few weeks... so we'll see...but at least my team of docs have got me being considered.. so we'll see how it goes...
