@julesmango So, I’m curious - yes, it is written all over the literature, and especially with a recent study all over the news, that covid can reawaken dormant viruses (like EBV), but did your health system definitively diagnose this?

If it did “reactivate” it, you’re saying that you are actively sick with mono (tested contagious) and have been for 5+ years?

@oly78 No. long Covid is still not understood enough to say definitely. I present with chronic fatigue and that’s been diagnosed by my doctor. We believe it’s from the reactivation of the EBV mono that I had back in college. I have not taken a mono test. I am not contiguous. It’s not the same symptoms as I had back in college. When I had mono in the past, it lasted eight weeks and then I have been healthy for 35 years. This is a different beast. I wish it was just mono, then I would have been healthy after 2 months! It has been 5.5 YEARS! Life changing.
