I have been a NOPON for almost 30 years, exercising most of the time.
I recently tried a good quality Vibrator "Power Plate my5" and was
surprised/very pleased to find my feet increased their sensitivity and usefulness (I always need to use a walker). It is the only improvement I have had over the years of reduction if feeling; the exercise slowed the reduction rate.

@joeorsini Good morning! A NOPON for 30 years! My god, good for you! I can't boast anything close to that. Five or six years at most, discounting the half dozen years or so prior to my PN diagnosis when I was blaming my occasional wonky balance on everything other than a serious disease. Feet sensation remains big puzzlement to me. I've had two EMGs and one PT assessment (pins to the bottoms of my feet) and all three evaluations led to "You've some significant sensation loss, Ray." Really? 'Tis a mystery to me. I maintain I can still feel my feet, or more meaningfully put: my feet still feel things when they come into contact with things: they feel cold, hot, stickiness, smoothness, soft vs. hard, ticklish vs. dull, etc. I've often wished my clinicians had a numerical scale to use; e.g., "Ray, at last exam your remaining sensation was a 5. It's now dropped to a 3." Lacking the sort of yardstick, I remain mystified. // Cheers! Ray (@ray666)
