@cathyf31 Thank you for this very helpful information. Unfortunately, Tymlos is not covered by my Medicare Part D drug plan, but I may be able to change to a plan that covers it next year. I understand that Tymlos or Forteo are better for spinal fusion, but I'm not positive surgery will be recommended. At the same time, I am very concerned about protecting my spine from another compression fracture, and Evenity has better odds of doing that faster. I do not see my first spine surgeon until October, and his MA said he does not have a preference as long as I am on something. If anyone else has any thoughts, please chime in!

@ibarrow I also am on Medicare Part D drug coverage. Tymlos was not on my insurance company's formulary, so my endos office had to submit an appeal. The original denial was overturned, so I am approved for up to two years now. Just an FYI, you could certainly question if your doctor's office has the ability/willingness to appeal the denial. Clearly, the sooner you can get started on your treatment, I trust the better. I believe also, you will find the latest research recommend starting with Tim Los for 2 years, then transitioning to Evenity (due to it's anti-resorptive property). For long-term gains and management, it certainly might be worth a conversation. Good luck!!
(FYI - My short-term use of Evenity appears to have influenced my Tymlos treatment's response that followed the Evenity. We will be monitoring my trending and are cautiously optimistic that my unuusal anti-resorptive spike on the Tymlos will continue to trend downward).
