I have had stomach pain and bloating for 8 months. The stomach pain starts at about 5am. Once I'm up for the day and have breakfast it kind of dissipates until about 10:30 then it starts again with a little bloating. After lunch the pain kind of dissipates again until about 3:30 then the bloating and pain gets worse. After I eat supper, the pain subsides somewhat but the bloating gets worse. Once in bed and sleeping everything feels better and I do sleep okay. The next morning these problems start all over again. I take omeprazole 20mg before breakfast and if the pain gets too bad, I take Mylanta but not too often. My GI doctor had me take Voquezna for about 5 months, but it didn't help so I'm back with omeprazole. Anyone have any suggestions? No caffeine or alcohol and I watch what I eat for acid problems. @bjtobs - having stomach pain sounds miserable, as well as bloating. I've had one due to a medication I was taking and the other when I had a prolapsed bladder. They are not fun.

I moved your post here so you could talk with others chatting about stomach pain and bloating:

So, are you seeing a connection with eating and your symptoms getting worse or better?

Hello, JPT,
I had same for 3.5 years. 7 G.I. docs later, I was diagnosed with MALS, a vascular issue. Had my surgery 7/2/26 by a vascular surgeon. No more horrible pain. Now dealing with post-op nerve issues affecting my gut, which is normal but not fun.

Best of luck to you.
