@desertdwellerjh The half-life of Tobramycin is only 2-3 hours, so the 12 hour dosing is not as critical as with some medications. When I was using it the ID doc was specific that the doses be at least 10 hours apart, so I used it at noon and 10 pm (it could not be taken at the same time as other meds I was using so this interval worked for me.) It eradicated my pseudomonas in one month after 2 other antibiotics failed.

@sueinmn wow! Thank you. Interesting indeed. I stayed on the 12 hour schedule (once in awhile it was 10 or 11 but rarely because I was scared re the pseudomonas diagnosis). So far after 28 days I tested negative.

@sueinmn are you saying tobramycin killed off the pseudamonas in your lungs. I was on Tobi many times, it never killed it.
