Re tobramycin dosing schedule - I would check w your own pulmonologist and/or pharmacist. I agree it is difficult to stay on the every 12 hour dosing schedule but at the same time maintaining the level of the dose is important so the drug continues to zap the pseudomonas aeruginosa. A dip might give the darned thing an advantage. An 16-18 hour gap before the next dose seems excessive when on a twice a day dosage.

@desertdwellerjh The half-life of Tobramycin is only 2-3 hours, so the 12 hour dosing is not as critical as with some medications. When I was using it the ID doc was specific that the doses be at least 10 hours apart, so I used it at noon and 10 pm (it could not be taken at the same time as other meds I was using so this interval worked for me.) It eradicated my pseudomonas in one month after 2 other antibiotics failed.
