I have hereditary high cholesterol. If any doctor insist you take a statin, but refuses to hear how it makes you feel, time to find a new doctor who listens. There is a simple blood test which can prove you can’t take statins. Have you doctor check your immuno-globulins. There are 5 sets of immunoglobulins. The one you need is IgE. It will prove what you’re telling the doctor is true.

I have not found a blood test for statin intolerance - can you provide a link or citation?

And, here are links to various UK based organizations discussing a recent UK study - that is worth a look - it basically purports to show that most statin intolerance is not caused by the statin.
