What are the best incontinence clamps post-surgery?

G’afternoon Gentlemen, I’ve recently joined your club, having a radical Perineal prostatectomy this July 7th. I know is very early in my recovery but the leakage is driving me crazy. I the only way I can control myself is reducing my intake to a bare minimum and just staying still. I go through garments one after another. That has brought me to the clamp option. My surgeon has given his blessing as long as I’m staying with my pelvic floor exercises and not just depending on the clamp. To be on the safe side they have me coming in today to scan my bladder.
As of March, I see you guys had tried multiple manufacturers. Im looking ordering and at staring with one or two today.
How are you all doing today? Does anyone have any updated information or experiences since March??

The Wiesner clamp is comfortable To use and works quite well. You can move it around every couple of hours to make sure it doesn’t cause any problems. I know when I put it on I forget that it’s there and don’t even notice it for close to three hours. If I don’t set a timer, I forget to change it most of the time.

I concur with Soli comments. I have use the Wiesner and have been since 3/1/2026 after a UTI that I had wasn't treated properly for 5 months. That lead to an infection of my AUS 800 that had to be removed. No need to go into why and what happen its over. I try to empty my bladder about every two hours if I remember. At night, I use a night pad but no clamps. That’s how I’ve been managing so far. I'm very active, running everyday with the clamp and a pad and also working out 5 times a week. This is by no means that I'm comfortable with the clamp and pads during the day but I don't have a choice until my new implant in November. I'm scheduled for my third AUS 800 in November. First one lasted 12 years done at Cleveland Clinic then it malfunctioned, second one installed at Cleveland Clinic and it was infected by my UTI descirbed above. New one will be installed at UPMC Pittsburgh where I live no need to travel to Cleveland given my doctor in Cleveland recommended Dr. Rusilko who is very well respected in this implant.
