I use the PARI LC Sprint cup with my travel PARI Trek S nebulizer. It’s a good nebulizing cup, and I appreciate that while traveling, I can sterilize it using high heat.
At home, however, I prefer the breath-actuated AeroEclipse XL BAN. Because it releases mist only when I inhale, I’m not putting as much aerosol into my home air or wasting as much saline or medication.
My husband appreciates that I’m considerate, especially since we live in a small apartment. When I visit my daughters and grandchildren, who have pets, I also feel that I’m doing the responsible thing by controlling how much medication mist is released into the air.
The AeroEclipse does take a little longer than the PARI cup. If I’m in a hurry, rather than switching it to continuous mode and releasing more mist into the room, I may simply stop nebulizing a little earlier.
The manufacturer also explains that a small amount of solution should remain in the bottom of the AeroEclipse cup. I think some people try to nebulize every last drop, and that may be one reason it seems to take so long.
Just some food for thought!
Warm regards,
Linda Esposito
@becleartoday I find the different nebulizing cups are very confusing it as much as which one is the best. The. Pari seems to waste a lot of the medication. After being at NJH, I was advised to use the AeroEclipse so there isn’t a loss of medication and it delivers a smaller particle which would be advantageous for lung absorption. What is your opinion on this, Linda?
