As you discovered, emotional distress has nothing to do with being strong or weak. Your military service shows that you're brave, but bravery can't counteract chemical changes in your brain. I'm glad that you decided to share (another act of courage), and hope you continue to get the support you need. We're all on your team.

I love the compassion and encouragement articulated in these replies. We, including spouses, are all so emotionally vulnerable as a result of our PC diagnoses and the struggles that ensue. Having courage and being a part of this community brings me hope. Thanks, northoftheborder and all of who have so thoughtfully responded to this post.
