Possum1969, you basically took yourself off levothyroxine and testosterone at the same time. Chemical disaster for your poor brain. When you've been off the orgovyx for a while, you'll recognize yourself again.
I'm curious. Do you think you would have had the wildly wonderful experience with the therapists without becoming that little boy. I suspect the experience will survive manhood and will it have change you in some way.
For now don't even think about yourself. Focus on that wife of 49 years. Court her like a teenager. Remember all the things she likes and used to like.
Those therapists understood everything you are/were going through. Thanks for telling about their goodness and your vulnerability. It's a wonderful tale more so without resolution.

@gently I did need that kick in the butt about paying more attention to my wife. Thank you. She has had the cancer removed and because she had lost so much weight (around 60 pounds on purpose) they found 2 hernias and they need to be repaired and then chemo followed by 5 days of radiation. We are both anxious but know that many many folks are worse than us. And thank heavens for 2 wonderful daughters and our 4 grandchildren, 5,6,15 and19. Thanks again.

@gently Thank you for that great comment. More likely I would not have found out so much about those therapists without me feeling so sad. I trusted them so much. I have wrote them a couple of letters, cards and gave them a huge platter of cookies, danishes, and 2 dozen cinnamon rolls to share with the whole department. I truthfully think that not all of their empathy to me was taught in training. I believe that some of that was their character and the way they were raised and I have told them that their families must be very proud of them. I have told them that they have made me feel more like a person than just another patient. They are GREAT.
