Doctors Reprimand Me For No Osteo Meds

I, too, have been scolded over the years. I have not made a decision to begin medication for my osteoporosis because my dentist and oral surgeon tell me that it isn't a good idea since I have frequent dental work done. My doctor tells me I need it now! One finally said, "You may have to make a decision if you want bones or teeth." Oh my, what a choice... I would like to have both.

I saw your post and thought I might share. I am 74 now and just experienced a vertebral fracture, no trauma, just happened..... I also put off using meds,and I was in early childhood ed, always on my feet, healthy eating,etc. but it didn't help me. I took Evenity for 3 months,to build bone,and stopped due to some side effects, and my Endo had me do a reclast infusion to lock in the gains. I wish I had made the choice sooner,might have saved myself from a fracture. Best of luck to you with your decision.
