I am curious what supplement you refer to that covers the 7% saline that traditional medicare will not. My understanding about medicare supplements or medigap is that they only kick in when the claim is paid and the copay of 20% is then covered by them. It seems unlikely that a supplemental plan will cover an item independent of traditional medicare but there's always something new to learn.
I tried to get 10% saline but was told that it is not available to use outside of hospital settings as it is too dangerous - even though I can tolerate it and seems to be the only thing that works for me. However, I talked to Foundation Health today and they claim to have 9%. Will have to see if the 1% makes a difference and I can get a prescription for it.

@sayaboleh I hate to be vague, but it is through my former employer, thus not available to the general public. We pay a heavy premium to continue to have it along with our Medicare Parts A & B, but it covers most of our copays so is cost-effective for us.

With the confusion people have regarding decimal points and saline, I am nearly positive that Foundation Health has 0.9% saline, not the higher concentration. I have never seen vials of 9% saline solution anywhere, and a search for "9.0% saline solution" returns ONLY 0.9% saline, whether in vial or bottles.
