@lindenflower not sure, but I think you're mixing up the decimal for the saline solution. There's a .09% and a 7% .
I purchased .09% at a medical supply in Florida without a script. The 7% requires a script.
The .09% did absolutely nothing for me. The 7% is working very well , I am bringing up mucus without a lot of effort. I use an inversion board and let gravity do a lot of work.

How long does it take in the inversion board- a whole night?

@vstankie One more correction, it is 0.9% saline (also known as "normal saline") the same concentration as in out tears and body tissues. Then there is 7% saline, as referred to here. As a fun complication, there is also 3% saline, used by some who cannot tolerate the 7%, but it can be hard to find. Finally, there is 10% saline, which respiratory therapists sometimes use to induce sputum cultures - it is very harsh, but usually works.

@vstankie do you nebulize 7% while laying on the board?
