Good morning, John (@johnbishop), Ed (@njed), and all ships at sea*,

Here's a VERY brief update on My Life with a Sanddune Stepper. It took me a while, but I finally located a place where I can fit the Stepper without having to rearrange whole rooms: a short ways back from my TV, leaving enough room for a walker (turned backwards, to use as handrails: thank you, John, for that suggestion). My first attempt to "ride" my Stepper was in my sock-feet: bad idea! –for me, anyway. I have a nasty case of arthritis in my left knee (I'm still considering a TKR this fall) and the Stepper does to the vertical alignment (to include your knees) what the Stepper is meant to do: simulate the side-to-side, fore-and-aft rocking motion of walking on sand. Well, that rocking motion did no-good for my arthritic knee; I managed about 40 steps. A short while later, I put on my good Brooks shoes with their orthotics and managed a couple of hundred steps with minimal or no pain. I'm looking forward to doing more steps later today.

Cheers!
Ray (@ray666) (*That dates me, doesn't it? 🙂 )

@ray666 Ray, this sounds like it may not work for me due to serious knee issues. I may talk to a physical therapist I know very well and see what he thinks, he knows my current conditions. Thanks for updates.
