I have never had an osteoporosis fracture. I’ve been on Tymlos for 1 year and just had my Dexa yesterday. My lumbar increased 13.6%, from -2.9 to -2.2 and my hips also increased. Don’t have the # in front of me need to print out. My TBS increased..050. My #’s adjusted for degraded TBS is -3.0 for lumber, so still osteoporosis. I also weight train and take supplements.
I was ecstatic because I take PPI’s for hiatal hernia and GERD and I have Hashimoto’s thyroid.
I had a rocky start with the Tymlos, feeling fatigued for several months and only took 4 clicks( 1/2 the dose on the pen) for about 6 months. After a non responding pn1p I attempted to increase dose but was only able to get up to 7 clicks and now no more side effects. Hope this helps. I have also been sad about it and struggling with thoughts of mortality. I will be 70 in December. That will be a milestone as my mom passed at 69. Started the Tymlos at 68. Hope this helps! 🤗
