I do wonder what your results would have been had you been doing your injection in your abdominal area instead but good anyway. I have seen some reports that some patients do get more results after 12 months. It’s unusual but happens for various theoretical reasons. Would love to keep hearing about your results

@osteopatient2026 I spoke with my lead doctor today. He said that whether the results happen in the first or second year is not a major concern. They did inquire if I had wanted to switch to Evenity in the first year with the more dismal results and I said no. I will finish my two pens left and then go for my Reclast infusion (with adjustments) because I had an extreme inflammatory response (variety of reasons - like surgery) maybe being so close which contributed to my poor reaction. He clearly indicated that whether the injections were in my tummy or thigh was not indicative of anything. Results were in line with what they wanted over the two years. We discussed the "noise" present in the DEXA scans (I've had them for 30 years, annually) and they are just a guide for trends and possible interventions. Both my orthopedic spine surgeon and my bone med doc don't put a lot of weight in them. They use xrays, mri's ultrasounds to really give them an idea of density and quality. A DEXA only measures a couple bones. The issues we may have can be in bones not measured in the DEXA and those bones may have different densities! So you guys are stuck hearing from me for another year! 😉

@osteopatient2026 of course I will continue informing you-all as I go forward with what I think will be two more Reclast injections! (along with any baseline tests along the way) I was told not to expect very much in the second year that the TYMLOS is accelerated in the first year and diminishes in the second. Well, we showed them didn’t we? lol. And as far as the injection site just to be clear I rotated all around, but mostly kept it in the thigh because it was easier to see since my mobility is compromised from my cervical spine surgery but when someone on this forum mentioned that there was no clinical evidence of what happens when you inject in the thigh, I went back and dug deep on the Internet and called the manufacturer pharmacy. It was impossible to even get them to speculate about what could happen if you inject in the thigh so I figured it be best if I went back to the belly. I was extremely disappointed that my first year results weren’t typical. I tried so hard to be disciplined and do a good job but I guess I made it all back in the second year so I’m very pleased. I’ll let everybody know what happens after my doctor visit in the morning!
